New Hayward Superpump is extremely noisy

I returned the pump and got a variable speed model. What an ephiphany! The thing is awesome. Thank you all!

Many power companies have green energy rebates encouraging you to switch to a variable speed pump. I ended up paying ~$250 for mine after the $400 rebate.
I previously had a Super Pump and am super happy with my new set up in comparison, it uses about 1/4th of the electric too.

a VS 700 (Super Pump VS | Pumps | In Ground Pool Pumps - Hayward Pool Products)
I run 3 speeds. 3 hours at 2800, 3 hours at 1725, and 9 hours at 900. I did not do any calculations, will see how this works out and tweak if necessary.
Right now it is using 164W at 1725 RPM.
Any reason you need this much flow?
I would run at this speed 24/7 as long as the flow is adequate.
At that power, assuming 15 cents per kilowatt-hour, that's about $17.71 per month.
That's probably too low and the power is probably about the same as at 1,725 RPM.
