Agreed with @Stoopalini, that looks like suction from the pool to feed a pump. In one if your earlier photos you can just make out that it looks like a T between those two pipes.

Yes, that is probably what at least one of them is, or possibly both to prevent entrapment. We did add a second VS pump to the plans so we could use the water features while we are in spa mode
Couple of our kids came out to help me water the pool
"Gunite Cleanup Crew" was out today to make our yard "sod ready". All they did was take down the concrete forms and pickup any chunks of gunite that were larger than a football. We have a huge mess and the builder is supposed to be sending them back out. I told the builder that if he were supervising the work he wouldn't have had to do it twice. I always do all of the work on our repairs and upgrades because I really do hate dealing with contractors.....
My wife and I added 37 bags of top soil to the side yard this afternoon so we can lay sod on the part of the yard that the whole neighborhood has to look at before we have the HOA after us.

So someone told Tropical Storm Beta that I was getting tile and coping this week. 
Always has been my favorite seat, now if we can get some water it will be even better

Your ledge might be better suited now to fit a pair of the Ledge Lounger chairs instead.
We haven't decided what to put there yet. We wanted to do a few loungers and I dont think they will fit. The ledge is mostly for our puppies anyway, but we planned it to be larger
Yesterday morning while I was out getting breakfast the plumbers decided to show up and give my wife a heart attack. She was in the backyard in her pajamas with all of the dogs having coffee when the plumbers came through the back gate unannounced! Lucky for them our dogs are loud but not mean. They dug trenches all day and disappeared as quickly as they showed up. Max and Miles decided that since the tropical storm filled the pool filled the pool they aren't waiting for any more contractors before getting a swim in.

how long till tile and coping show up? Can't wait for all of our pools to be done and to see your finish for the pool!
Plumbers were back yesterday and finished the long plumbing. Equipment is supposed to be delivered today and we can finish the plumbing as soon as we get the pad figured out. When we started all of this I told the builder that I wanted a pad poured in place instead of the precast pads, plumbers showed up with 3 precast pads. I have asked several times that we get an understanding on this and the builder has just refused to address the subject. I told the plumbers to do the job they were hired to do and I would deal with the builder about meeting my expectations. When the builder told me that was just what I was going to get I asked him for a notarized statement that the 3 separate pads were being used against my wishes, now we are waiting to get a concrete crew to pour a pad.

It was scheduled for today, but now I have been bumped to next Monday. I am not even really expecting it to happen then, so we will see. My builder seems to be unhappy that I am not willing to allow them to cut corners. He seems to think that clients should just be happy that they finally showed up and take what they are given, I am paying too much for that kind of service.
