New Build Wylie, TX

I love your tile and coping. Good choice:D

Thanks! We thought about a glass subway tile I think those look really nice but I was a little worried it might become dated after a while since it is a little bit more trendy so we went with a more basic look. I think it will blend really well with the flagstone and darker blue plaster though. I actually just took a look at your build and was thrilled to see 24 people in your pool with room to spare! The size since we went a little smaller has been a concern but I think we are good after seeing that!

On the bright side I received the most important pool landscaping accessory today for my birthday.

On the down side I also received the unwanted "present" of a new AC unit after one of ours went out.

This is the tile.

And plaster

Was excited to hear from my wife they were working in the backyard until she sent me this picture.

They dug the holes for the pergola footer in the wrong spot. What kills me is they had a copy of the plans which clearly shows the post are inline with our existing patio cover post.

Luckily caught it before they poured concrete but it's just another day wasted.

It's frustrating but they were good about getting it fixed. I guess the confusion was the pool builder specified 10x20 which means the post are set about 8' from the wall because there is almost a 2' overhang so that's what the guys did. The plans and renderings all show the post inline with our current patio though and that's what we want and signed off on.

Found you M(ad) cow? Paul from the Sachse refurb! Having wife at home is a wonderful blessing so she can keep them all in line..... We pay PB huge dollars to manage a project and many (but not all for sure) of them hire $20K/yr superintendents and you get that amount of value. So sad. Stay on top of everything and just continue to remind them that you are the boss. And be sure to realize the patience (and potential delays) now will be long forgotten down the road. The errors will be forever.

Well to add insult to injury now that the yard is FINALLY dried up 100% over the weekend the PM for our PB decided to drain the pool right back in to the yard where they need to pour the footers. The new holes have not been dug yet but the old ones were inspected and passed so I guess the plan is to just dig new ones and hope the inspector does not notice. We are getting close to three weeks with nothing being done but digging holes in the wrong spot. Hoping they do something this week but I am not super confident much will be done besides maybe forming the decking if we are lucky. It is looking like we will not be swimming by August 1st as we hoped.

On the bright side to relieve the stress we broke in our new margarita maker.

Thanks we are excited to get it done! Wow yes very similar you even have the same retaining wall on the back fence!

On another note after some complaining about the lack of progress (man I hate being the bad guy) I was just told the guys will be out this afternoon to start the decking.
