Make sure to ask any and all questions you might have no matter how small! We have all been where you are at one point.

It is a LOT of info. but will all sink in when you start to use it.

This is also when I ask what test kit your PB is giving you. Ask him if you do not know so we can fill in any holes it might have.

I am excited and nervous to learn about the pool care. Glad I still have a few months!

I am so in love with this pool! So happy to see it taking shape. A little nervous about how many truckloads of dirt we will need.

I think I picked a paver. It is called McKenzie Blend by US Paverscapes.

I want travertine but I think it's out of the budget. Should I do a contrasting coping? Our pool will have a waterfall probably made from moss stone. We are considering no waterline tile. The PB wants to use a custom Florida Stucco gem finish with glass beads and said it would look nice and he said as long as we keep water chemicals in check we shouldn't have to worry about a scum line? What do you think?

This is an example of another pool builder did. Ours is modeled after this design and will be similar. We can change finishes if we want.

I LOVE the patio pick! The color and design are wonderful! I hope you do get this!

I like the contrasting coping. It is like the finishing touch to me.

LOVE the pool! It looks like a real pool and all of the features really show out now! SWEET!

Waterline tile-I too vote for it. I worry about the plaster that is above the water.

If you maintain your water you should not have a scum line BUT not having waterline tile will not stop it. You will just have the line on the plaster and I think it will be harder to clean off the plaster than it would be from the tile.

FINALLY, after 6 looonnnggg weeks we have some progress. Plumbing got done today.

Excuse the weird angles, my father in law took them ;)

It seems like there are so many- and they are so tall- is that normal? The ground level will be raised some once dirt is delivered and graded. The equipment pad is going up against the house.

Fill dirt is supposed to be here Thursday. Tile end of this week or early next.

Im glad to finally see something happen after weeks of nothing. We were getting pretty frustrated. Our builder is small and our area is experiencing a lot of growth right now. I think the builder has maybe too many projects going at once.
 
YEA!!! Work done! Yeah it has been a long wait for sure. It does sound like he has too many things going on at one time :(

They will cut the pipe down. This just gives them room to work while they do the pressure test.

Of of course it's raining today after like 6 weeks with no rain. Here is my view from my back window. A few stones are out that the stone guy was looking at yesterday before it started to storm.

I know there isn't much bling but I'm planning to use the NPT Artic glass tile as step markers. Waiting on some samples to decide whether to use ice, lagoon or ocean.
 
The stone work is almost done. Just have to finish the coping around the spa. I didn't realize how much work would go into the waterfall and spa. They cut all that stacked stone on sight. Looked like hard work in this Florida heat!

Also got footers poured for screen enclosure and patio roof today. And the equipment pad was poured as well.

Its been raining for 5 days now. I'm frustrated that they disappeared for 6 weeks when we were in drought conditions. Should have made hay while the sun shined!

Don't worry about the yard. You will have plenty of time to work on that when your pool is filled with water:cheers: BTW did I fail to tell you that your real work begins after your pool is built :D
