New build, north DFW again!

Almost 24 hours later... still have a good amount to fill.

I should have recommended something I wish I had done before filling and that is to see how long it takes for your hose on full blast to fill up a 5 gallon bucket, then time how long it takes to fill the pool so that you know exactly how many gallons it is. With shelves, benches and tanning ledges, I doubt mine is actually 14000 but probably a little bit less. That plaster looks really nice. Can't wait to see what it looks like once it's full.

Is there EVER a "tranquil" moment when the boys (this includes pigiron) are awake?????????? LOL

Kim

Very, VERY rarely Kim!!

Great job! Looks fantastic. And yes, what cluck said, the brushing gets old but needs to be done!

Doesn't it sound incredible?

The sound is even better than I thought it was going to be! It is so relaxing!!

Hey mom! Throw some diving toys in that pool and have the twins get them out over and over and over. Give dad a beer or two at the same time. THAT will give you quite a bit of "tranquil" moments as they will fall asleep afterwards! LOL

In my world a tired child and/or puppy = a good child/puppy! I teach Kindergarten and train dogs (some say it is all the same LOL).

I would also have the boys learn how to brush the pool. It will help them appreciate the work that goes into the pool.

OH and have them watch you do the tests on the pool. You and I both know they will pee in the pool BUT if they see the tests and know that you will be able to see what happens in the pool it just might stop them.

I love this idea Kim! We were just talking yesterday about having them help with the brushing. I'll teach them today...maybe even take a pic or two for you. ;) They would really enjoy the chemistry side of taking care of the pool. I think doing this will not only deter them from peeing in my pool, but when they tell their friends about it, it may also stop them from using my pool as a toilet! My two older kids who are grown and moved out are very jealous of their younger brothers. Maybe the twins telling them about the brushing and caring for the pool will help easer their pain a bit...

On another subject: I'm a 5th grade teacher, and I completely agree: tired children = good children! Plus, tired children = Matt and I get to enjoy the pool without them!! Ok...that may be wishful thinking! ;)
