Hello everyone, I have been a lurker here since September of last year. I have learned an incredible amount of information prior to our build that started on January 10th. 2019. Last fall, my builder put together a comprehensive plan that looked real good and worked well within the confines of our "typical" small Arizona back yard. Our objectives for the build were 6' minimum for depth, Baja Pad and a Slide. Here is the initial digital representation of our build.

Thank you. Here is the list of equipment installed....

Pentair Intelliflo VSF 3.0 HP pump, Pentair Clean & Clear Plus Filter Cartridge 320 sq. ft., A&A Dekchlor and Venturi Skimmer, Pentair Intllibrite LED pool lite, Aerator, Ultrapure 25 O-Zanator, A&A Automatic water leveler, Jandy 3 way valves, Pentair Rebel Automatic pool cleaner.

Yes, we kicked around an in ground cleaning system, but decided on the KISS method, less plumbing and replacement headaches. Decided to also keep the sanitary job to the Dekchlor, UV (AZ sunshine between the equinoxes) and we will be adding enough salt to our pool to "condition" the water to about 1200 - 1500 PPM. The pool will be around +/- 10,000 gallons. Due to area and 2 boys, we wanted depth around the slide / waterfall for all the adventures. The Baja pad is for mom and I. Pump - Filter Pad.jpg

Thank you! We are very excited to start using this outdoor environment come summer. We are VERY far along. We have the interior scheduled for Monday, acid wash on Tuesday. I just did not get to posting this build soon enough. It is very time consuming! I can catch you up if you would like. It has been a journey that started last September......

Pre-grade Complete, trenched for NE patio electrical and outdoor shower. Tree stump root ball cut down and will be pulled over by excavation crew. Yard walls primed and block filled for eventual color. Lower Terrace wall will be earth tone house color and upper, surrounding walls will be a stormy, grey / blue. Ready for layout and excavation....

My PB rep. said "this is my first pool build that had a hard dig" LOL, I have a hard time believing that statement, but oh well.... Yes, a Jack hammer was attached to the Cat. Then they drove in a second Cat to shovel out the Caliche. Shade sails will remain and I will add an additional one along with a pergola over the NE patio.
 
Plumbing and rebar....... My two issues with the plumbing was placement and finish. They jammed it so tight in the corner that there is less than two inches between filter housing and west wall. Also, the plumbers painted over rain?!? Disappointing really.... Rebar was a woven basket of metal art.
