New build in central Texas

Our ledge is 9" of water depth with 2 led bubblers and this is the standard depth our PB does with the bubblers and we went to a site and saw them working and they work great. For me, 6" wasn't deep enough for me for sitting on the ledge. That first step is a doozy as they say so we had a little step added on the ledge. Oh, and we have 2hp VS booster pump bc we have a 2 foot raised wall with a 4' sheer decent, the 2 bubblers, and an 18" raised spa.

We are having issues caused by the excavator. Some of the benches will have to be oversized. I might slope the walls a little there to make the recliners. What do you think?

Also, the Gunite guy will have to add some of the sweeps in and smooth out the rough dig shapes.

Hopefully it turns out.

The gunite guy is going to be your best bet. I would arrange to meet with him a few mins before he is set to work. I would have picture printed of the different areas with notes and such showing what you want for each "difficult" area. They can work magic with that stuff if they have done it for a while.

I do love the idea of the slight slope to make the walls comfy!

Btw..... I spent 4 hours today helping him just to get it almost done. He was having problems staying off my pipes and leaving the tops level on the spa.

I know the feeling, better to keep things moving along. I had a stone pathway put in, finished this Saturday and sure enough a stake went right through a sprinkler line. The repair killed a good portion of my Sunday, but I need to wrap this build up.

Just some specs on the pool.

#4 grade 60 rebar on a 12" grid. Double mat on all walls tied and overlapping at least 18" into floor mat. Spa walls capped with "U" bars all around. There will be some on the pool walls, but the engineer says I don't need them. I just have some left over, so I thought I would use them. Excavated into solid limestone (holds water). Beams are proud of the native soil, but will be backfilled for deck pour.
