I requested the environmental health inspection ($150) today (required b/c we have a septic system). Once we have that report, we can apply for a building permit.

looking forward to seeing the progress on the pool as it comes along. Ever since I started my pool I’ve spent a lot of time on here and have learned a lot!

It may get worse. I go to customers houses all day and im obsessed with what kind of pool they did with what features. And why. And what they would have changed after the fact.
**ding dong** hi, yeah, yeah, i'm here to install/repair XYZ, but i saw your pool and its BEAUTIFUL. Would you mind showing it to me first ? (Best part is most people like talking about their pools more than i like hearing it and seeing them so almost everybody jumps at the chance)

Fence came down yesterday. We Jerry rigged a cattle chute for the dogs when the come down the ramp off the deck. They are not going to be too excited to see people working in our back yard. I imagine the dogs will be very jealous of their hole digging abilities. Still waiting on the tree guy and health department.

The dogs thought procces was fun to watch he thought the hole was the greatest thing ever. The summer heat caked the outside of my concrete shell while leaving the inside mushy so it took 9 extra days to cure. He got used to having it as a play area. When we filled it with water it blew his mind even more.

We keep going back and forth on the slide. Our builder says that most people get board with them. I don't know. What say people here?

I can't speak from experience, but I know our kids and I am confident between them and their friends it will get plenty of use. We also figured it would be much cheaper now to run the plumbing. If we never use it or get a slide, no big deal. But if we wanted to add one after the fact it would be much more expensive.

This is what the end of day 1 looks like. I'm glad I was home when they started laying out panels. We are missing our swim-out. I was pretty sure that was in the plans but it was not actually in the contract we signed. We talked about it... but for whatever reason, it just did not make it on paper. He did have our credit for the ladder we do not need though. PB said it was not that big of a deal. He was to order the swim-out last night and expected it to be delivered today. Also, I wanted the skimmer on the other side (more downwind). Overall, I am amazed how fast they were able to dig it and thankful no major rocks.

I would say the dig looks good, but I got a big fat no picture. Looks like some technical difficulty.

Hmmm... Try now?

I'm told that the swim-out is in place, the skimmer has been moved, and the concrete truck is there pouring the collar. Can't wait to get home and see the progress!

Wow, yes, that will be a huge step! And yes, the picture is now visible.

Looking great. We wanted a deep end bench/cutout where you’re stairs are. It would have been liner covered and we didnt do it because of the large dogs. Soooooo wish we thought of using stairs there. It’s a bench, a ladder and it would have worked perfect with the dogs.
