Casey, the guy never showed up... I called him about 30 times yesterday and messaged all day... At midnight one of his employees messaged back and said he left yesterday morning for an emergency...
So frustrating, this is the third day he said he would be here for the install.. Wish us luck for our sanity
On a great note, I programmed the digital timer last night this intermatic wireless is pretty kewl for a low cost controller

Casey? Is there noone else that can put it up? I know it was hard to find someone in my area to put up my aboveground pool so I understand if you cannot.

Kim, I wish there was, went through 6 installers to find this guy, no one wants to put in an oval pool, this guy is over an hour away north of Okc.. I almost want to do it myself, it would be done by now. 
you tube, lots of friends, pizza (or steak) and beer for when you are done????
Dude if you can drive that tractor like that you should be able to put it up. (easy for me to say. I did pay someone to put my round pool up)

I would be installing it myself with a bunch of friends if I had to put up with that. Take a week to study the instructions, get a crew together n get it done. I would NOT be happy with that guy. A 10 second phone call would have been nice!
Not sure about how to put up a oval pool but my father in law and I put up a 30' round one in a couple weekends. Due to timing we couldn't devote continuous time to it. We borrowed a tractor to dig out. Since you have a tractor that makes it easy and if you have access to a laser level that would be key. But it's def possible to self install. Buying s couple tools (like the laser level) would still be cheaper than having them install it. Him knowing he's the only probably makes him feel he can get to it when he wants....

The 1 and really the only problem is I can never get a hold of this guy and he already has 1500 dollars of our money... I called the place where I bought the pool and they are contacting him, he is there installer but he is not there employee, that way they can get away with this type of situation... the more I deal with these pool people the more I despise the pool racket... why do all these places have to be so shady and so many fly by night take your money and run people out there....
let's see.....
pool store = take your money and give you wrong everything so you keep coming back
pool contractor/store = sell you bad pool's or charge you 40% more to get good equipment
pool installer = bad install and you can't do anything about it cause its permanent, unless you want to pay them more to do it correct..
it would cost me that much to take this guy to court and get the money back
rant rant rant..... ok, rant over

he came down friday and he was suppose to start digging today, but we are suppose to get 4 to 5 inches of rain in the next 2 days and the hole would turn into a pond before it could be done... so Friday he is starting...

thanks Kim and Casey, I kind of lost it on the phone last night... You all are keeping me and the family sane.. He said He would be here friday or saturday and that he is in Kansas and will be here saturday.. I went through the roof, I could not see straight I was so mad... in no unceartain terms he will be here saturday, so 1 more day.. He better be as good as everyone says he is... his fee has already been dropped a lot, he just does not know it yet I just do not see how people can lie like this and still look at themselves in the mirror... We keep saying "carma" it will get him in the end
