The 2006 I ordered before the tf100 did show up today, so I might just use that. I was planning on returning it but my back is to the wall here. I guess I will just have a ton of testing stuff - hopefully I can use it all before it expires.Oh no! Was there any way to double check the address?
Two test kits is still cheaper than one visit to the pool store for some free testing. The 2006 I ordered before the tf100 did show up today, so I might just use that. Whoa whoa whoaOK - performed two half drain/refills and I've finally got some numbers that are OK.
PH: 7
CH: 100
TA: 70
CYA:70 (was hoping for lower, but I'll take it!)
So the Total Alkalinity should be 100, correct? Looks like 176 oz of Baking Soda?
And the pH should be 7.5, so 130 oz of Borax?
If so, should I just add them all into the skimmer and give them a while to recirculate? And is it OK that my sand filter is still inline? I'm guessing even if some of it gets caught in the filter it would just dissolve quickly?
Also, it seems to me that the pH would go up if I adjust the Total Alk - so the amount of Borax I need would be lower - correct? Should I add the Soda first and re-take the pH test, then calc Borax needs?
Thanks!
