Need new suction side valves

I likely will need to replace my 3 suction side valves (2 skimmers, and a main drain) as I think one or more are leaking air. Are Jandy valves the best way to go for long term reliability and maintenance ? Links to specific valves would be appreciated.

Wonderful. Any idea what the average labor cost should be to change out my 3 ball valves with the Jandys ??

I just got a quote for $90 an hour (minimum charge) and he'd change 3 ball valves (I bought pentair) and move my salt cell so that's it is plumbed in after the heater.

I have the parts and it's $90 per hour, but he expects it to take less than an hour.

My pool guy recommended brass gate valves, not favoring Jandy's ? What say you?

Sounds like your pool guy has an overstock of brass gate valves. IMHO Jandy & Jandy-style valves are the way to go...stay away from ball valves & gate valves if possible.
