I’m testing for CC now, it turned back a very pale pink. Do I Continue to add r-0871?
Okay here is what I have.Do FC, CC, pH, TA, CH, and CYA.
Okay, I’m at 16 FC now. Should I retest FC in the morning? With the elevated FC, the pH test is not valid.
OK -- for now, do nothing. Your SLAM level FC is 12 ppm. You are well above that. So let the FC come down and when it gets to 10, test pH. If above 7.4, let us know, otherwise, maintain the FC at 12 ppm by testing your FC and adding liquid chlorine several times per day.
Yes. Remember, if you get 10 ppm FC or less, test your pH. Then raise the FC back to 12 ppm.Okay, I’m at 16 FC now. Should I retest FC in the morning?
I’m at 14.5 this morn. Sun is just now starting to hit the pool so I’m hoping this afternoon I will be at 12. Once this happens, I start adding chlorine? How much should I be adding?Yes. Remember, if you get 10 ppm FC or less, test your pH. Then raise the FC back to 12 ppm.
Let the FC come down to 10 and check pH.
How does the water look this morning?
When you test FC, raise it back to 12 ppm FC.
Lol. Stupid clear.^^^^^^^. +1000000
You see how the results are and the financial burden of relying on the pool store.
a $77 proper test kit is a STEAL in comparison. Once you factor in that we will send you to buy dirt cheap, generic maintenance chemicals, like $4 a gallon bleach and $7 for 13lbs of baking soda, Said kit will save you trucktons of monies. Each trip to the pool store is $75 to $250. Each trip to Walmart is $28. Maybe less.
And feast your eyes on the results that you’ll expect based upon the test kit and the wonderful helpers you now have in your corner. Whether it’s a seasonal pool or a $100k backyard resort, Our stupid clear water is the great equalizer

How clear should my water be? A very common question. Here is mine on a calm morning where I could finally vacuum. Yes I know, I'm still manually vacuuming. It took me 7 years to finally get an SWG, I'm working on a robot. :) So now let's see your water clarity.www.troublefreepool.com
Are you vacuuming? The green tinge is concerning. Do you have iron in your water there?I vacuumed for maybe 10 minutes yesterday.
I vacuumed for maybe 10 minutes yesterday. We have a well so we had our water delivered when we filled it.Are you vacuuming? The green tinge is concerning. Do you have iron in your water there?
We added about an inch yesterday as it didn’t need much. That is the first time this season that we have added any water and we hook the hose up to inside of the house so it’s filtered through our softenerDo you add water from the well when the pool level goes down?
Vacuuming up the solid debris will make the clearing of the pool go much faster.

And when I do vacuum, I can see the blue bottom much clearer but the more I do, the cloudier it gets. It seems like a fine dust has settled on the bottom. For vacuuming I use a catfish vacuum. We added about an inch yesterday as it didn’t need much.
