I’m testing for CC now, it turned back a very pale pink. Do I Continue to add r-0871?

With the elevated FC, the pH test is not valid.
OK -- for now, do nothing. Your SLAM level FC is 12 ppm. You are well above that. So let the FC come down and when it gets to 10, test pH. If above 7.4, let us know, otherwise, maintain the FC at 12 ppm by testing your FC and adding liquid chlorine several times per day.

Yes. Remember, if you get 10 ppm FC or less, test your pH. Then raise the FC back to 12 ppm.
I’m at 14.5 this morn. Sun is just now starting to hit the pool so I’m hoping this afternoon I will be at 12. Once this happens, I start adding chlorine? How much should I be adding?

The best thing to use is the pool math app in the Google or Apple App stores. But in the meantime, use the "old" pool calculator

In the left column, put in your tested FC, in the right, put in the desired (12 ppm). For your pool, for each ppm of increase, it is about 8 oz of 10% bleach (from Home Depot, Lowes or Pool Store, etc). If you are using grocery store bleach, which is only 6%, you will need 13 oz for each ppm of FC.
Example, your pool is 10ppm FC and need to go to 12ppm, you need 16 oz of 10% bleach, or 26 oz of 6% bleach.

Are you vacuuming? The green tinge is concerning. Do you have iron in your water there?
I vacuumed for maybe 10 minutes yesterday. We have a well so we had our water delivered when we filled it.

Do you add water from the well when the pool level goes down?

We added about an inch yesterday as it didn’t need much. That is the first time this season that we have added any water and we hook the hose up to inside of the house so it’s filtered through our softener
And when I do vacuum, I can see the blue bottom much clearer but the more I do, the cloudier it gets. It seems like a fine dust has settled on the bottom. For vacuuming I use a catfish vacuum.
