Hey all,

I have a Pentair sd40 sand dollar (I think) pool filter set up. The high pressure hose from the motor to the filter cracked from dry rot and I ordered a replacement

I'm having a heck of a time trying to get this back on the fittings. I can gt it about half way on before it seizes. I tried putting soap inside as a lubricant but that didn't work very well. I was thinking of heating it up slightly and try to put it on with a screwdriver slightly inside as a guide? I tried heating up the excess I cut off to see how it took the heat and it became much less ridged and more workable and then when it cooled off it was very hard again.

I know I should just PVC the filter but I have so many things going on this summer I just dont have time to add another. Maybe after this tube fails, if I can ever get it on.

Thanks in advance!

Ben
