Mixing salt in a new pool

Intex says to dump the salt into a new pool and then get in and create a 'whirlpool' effect to mix the salt. I have a 12x24 pool and since I'm not Aqua Man, I don't think I can swim around fast enough to create a 'whirlpool' effect. The syncronized swimmers are also not available. Anyone ever use an electric trolling motor dipped over the edge to mix the salt?

I need around 450 lbs at opening depending on how much snow/rain i had to empty over the winter. I have tried a few methods and they are all about the same amount of effort / time in the end.

1) dump it all in and brush occasionally over the it takes to dissolve
2) mix 2 bags at a time in a landscaper bucket and dump when dissolved
3) poke a small hole in the bag and let them slowly pour into the skimmer

Options 1 and 3 took less effort but more time. Option 2 takes less time but the stirring is relatively strenuous. This year my cell was shot anyway so i cheated by letting the pump/filter do all the work. It was the easiest but took forever for 16 bags to trickle out.

Do not do option 3 -- poor advice. Adding chemicals to the skimmer is not a good idea.

Just dump the salt in the pool and have the kids (or you pushing a brush) mix it in.

It was a very slow dump with the pump on high. It was plenty mixed by the time it hit the equipment. I figured it was no different than dumping 450 lbs in the deep end and having the sludge-y mixture sucked up by the main drains. It didn’t work particularly well either so I won’t be trying it again.
