MasterTemp 400 Control Board Replacement

Looks like I need to replace the control board for my MasterTemp 400. Currently, my heater has the older 5 button membrane. A couple questions:

1) Can I replace it with a 6-button board?
2) Is it a relatively easy swap?

1) Yes, as long as you get the 6-button membrane pad as well. Sometimes comes as a kit.
2) Easy swap. The lock clips on the old board will likely break when trying to unplug the wiring. Not an issue.

Thanks. I just got the 6-button replacement kit. It did not come with a jumper cable, red & black connection wires. Is that something I need?
