Lower CYA without draining pool

Is there a way to lower CYA with draining half my pool, like by a chemical?

No. There is one still being sold, but it has never shown to be consistently effective.

You can either exchange the water or, if available, use a Reverse Osmosis service. Not sure that Florida has that. Southern California and Arizona have them.
