I have posted this question before in previous years but could never figure it out. My pool light has been out on opening every year. I have had the electrical checked, there has NEVER been water in the encasement. Am I supposed to be removing the bulb when I close the pool for winter? I have gone through 3 incandescent bulbs, then switched to a retrofit LED in 2018. The LED did not come on at first n 2019 -- but then just started working again. I thought that would be the case this year -- but it is not working at all. Again, checked the breaker, tested the electricity, and removed the encasement to see if any water inside. Everything checks out fine. Any theories on why this keeps happening? (when I change the bulbs, it works immediately). The LED was pretty pricey so I'm trying to get to the root cause before replacing once again.
