Light lens replacement. Dish soap or Aladdin Magic Lube

I discovered a leak in my 2013 Hot Springs Grandee spa at the step light. I ordered the 71830 replacement lens with gasket. The instructions say to use dish washing liquid as a lubricant. I was wondering if Aladdin Magic Lube might be a better choice. Thoughts? Thanks for your help TFP.

A good general rule is to follow manufacturer's directions. If you do go Magic Lube, use Magic Lube II, it is silicone based. Magic lube it PTFE based and shouldn't be used with pool gaskets.

Yes. As a lubricant and perhaps help act as an additional sealant.
