Length of floor at varying depths

I'm having a14x32, 4' to 7' deep vinyl pool built, and am concerned about having "enough" space in the shallow end. Currently, my shallow floor is 9', but may be able to increase to 11'.

Can anyone with a similar-sized pool (+/-4 feet or so) please tell me how long your shallow end is and whether you feel it's adequate?

I have a 3, 5 and 8 y.o., and right now I think we'll be spending a lot of time playing in the shallow end.

Thanks!

Welcome to TFP! :kim:

This is very much personal preference. My pool is 37 feet at its longest and 21 wide at the widest.

The 21 is in the shallow end so the is a good chunk in the shallow end and there is a Baja step.

You might consider a sport pool those work great. My neighbor lived in theirs when the kids were young.

You children will grow older, I tried to stop that, it failed.

Most of the kids in my pool are floating around on noodles or jumping off rocks. Depth doesn't matter that much
