Ledge Lounger Help

I bought two Swimways Sonoma Chaise Lounges.. the ones many people have recommended on here over time. They are hard to find as they are seemingly discontinued. I was SO EXCITED to find two and paid way more than they originally sold for but that was OK, still less than ledge loungers.
.......my order was cancelled because they are out of stock although the website I purchased from still says in-stock.
Then I started seeing ads for Aqua Chairs on line... and I am tempted.
I also spoke with Ledge Loungers about "seconds" and they had some.... but by the diagram/photos, the Aqua Chairs seem to have a less pronounced curve in the lumbar which I noticed. No idea if this is the case since I never sat on an Aqua Chair.... but those ones seem to be the definite LL competition.

LOL @ aquachairs

"affordable"

They're $500 each

Hehe.. well, "more" affordable than the "other" one. They used to be $399 plus shipping, but now they made them $499 with free shipping. They are definitely a small, growing company and figuring things out. I am considering them because I don't want to worry about rust.
We were also considering polywood type adirondacks but those still have hardware, even if they are marine grade screws.

Great thread. I have also been looking at the loungers and am in the same position as Dave with 16” water. Our pool is at shotcrete stage, but I’m anxious. I’d love to know if anyone with deeper water finds something they really like. By the time the pool is done I’ll be able to sit out in my sweats and wait for next year. ?

I just got 2 deep chaise LedgeLoungers and a table delivered yesterday. I kept calling them asking what colors they had a seconds and finally they had 2 in Sand which was one of the colors I wanted. Got them for $500 each. Pricy I know but if they last a long time they will be worth it!
I agree and I’m hoping they’ll last. If I get these I figure 2.5 - 4 years I’ll be at break even, based on the prices I’ve seen for other chairs I’ve considered, but they have max water level noted. We love pictures ?

Do you have a model # ? I looked on Sams website and can’t find them.

These don't float around? I didn't think they would stay in place. We have these in a different color and I am driving myself crazy trying to find something that works.
Sams Club has polywood adirondacks with marine grade stainless hardware for $200 each; I was just considering those!

I'm waiting to see photos of the chairs in all the colors I possibly like. They should be posting them soon unless they're far off schedule. They said it would be last week I think.
Also, we may even need to wait until 2020 budget wise! We will see. If anyone else gets them.. I'd love to hear what they think!

What is your ledge depth?

We purchased both... a swimways chaise lounger from amazon (a little over $100 if i recall correctly) and 2 Lowes cobalt, blue plastic adirondack chairs ( they were on sale for $13 each). So here's the scoop. We debated on spending the big bucks on the cool, ledge loungers. (yes, we have a big beautiful deck and professionally landscaped yard too- im adding this before someone feels like they have to add something about their deck and yard into a comment haha Neither of the lounging options hinder the beauty of the pool or yard, guests still enjoy hanging out so winner winner! :)

After reading the reviews on both the ledgeloungers and the swimways, and passing by the pretty blue chairs at Lowes all the time, we are happy with our decision. why? 1. The swimway (we chose the brown color, blends in great with the flagstone) is fun and affordable, we leave it on our deck, looks great and we get tons of compliments and questions where did we get it?? yada yada yada. No we didn't drill holes in it, so that it fills up w water to keep it permanently on the sunshelf.(A lot of people do this, we just chose not to) We move it on to the shelf, if we want to lounge on it in there, and enjoy the cool water or we leave it on the deck to lounge on. Myself and our kiddos put it in the water and float on it for fun as well (takes some balance lol), so its very versatile. Yes, it does get hot in the sun(-everything in south Texas does lol) so before we use it, we just splash it with some pool water and voila!! Comfortable, fun, and multipurpose!!

Now #2. The beautiful cobalt blue Adirondack chairs (love love!!) were not originally purchased to sit in on the sunshelf, but after reading suggestions from others, we tried them on the sunshelf!! and they have become a favorite spot when someone just wants to relax. They are lightweight so they are easy to pick up and move on to the shelf - you can do this easily with one hand and a drink in the other lol!! (lighter than the swimway), and are SUPER comfortable!! If you don't want them out, they are stackable and you can move them and easily store them somewhere, pool house, garage, on your deck etc etc. wherever.

What we love about both the adirondacks and the swimway is that they aren't permanently on the sunshelf, which is great for when my little niece is visiting. She splashes on the sunshelf and plays in the fountains that are built into the shelf, and we are able to slide the chairs over enough on the shelf so we could sit next to her while she has a blast safely playing, there's enough room for everyone! So thats our experience from owning both. Everyone has their own opinion, but we are happy with both purchases :)

I saw these on amazon. First review said chairs can be had cheaper directly through the mfg. I went on their site and them chairs are $40 cheaper with FREE shipping ?‍♂️

I bought the ECCB on Amazon and they are really nice. I loved the colors and they’re just as vibrant in person. Easy to put together. My pool area is not done yet, but they’ll be there somewhere.

Very personal decision, indeed. We bought 2 and enjoy them greatly. As much $ as we're spending on the pool, landscaping, etc., it made sense for us given the visibility of our deck. That said, to each their own.

(I will say that we did much better buying their "seconds" -- each was in the $450 range that way. Requires a phone call to check their inventory).
where or whom did you call for their "seconds".

Anyone using the ECCB poly chairs on a tanning ledge? I'm curious how they're holding up and if they stay in place pretty well without floating? My wife doesn't like the fixed shape or look of the ledge loungers, so I'm looking at alternatives.
