Hello - first time poster, although I’ve been reading tons of very helpful posts/advice from this site for a few months. We’re about to begin construction on an inground pool. I need to decide how many bubblers to place on the sun ledge, details below. Curious others thoughts/opinions on how many to do, TIA!!

Pool: 15 x 32, L-shape / rectangle
The L is the sun ledge
Sun ledge: 11 x 7
I plan to only put 2 sun loungers, I know I can fit 3 but I don’t like how crowded that would be, 100% certain I’ll only ever have 2 loungers. Also planning to put 1 umbrella sleeve.

Context:
My instinct is to do a single bubbler in the middle, I liked the symmetry and we’re going to have 2 water sheers on the other side. I’ve heard bubblers can be loud and don’t want to make it all too loud between the sheers and bubbler.

But open to advice if folks think 2 or even 3 bubblers is better? I also generally like simple, not too over the top type of a look, so again, concerned 3 bubblers would be Taj Mahal-ish, haha. I know it’s impossibly to install more after so just want to consider if 1 would be too sparse. Thanks!!

Renderings attached. Please note he has 3 loungers in the pics but I’m only going to do 2.0A0DCC90-34A1-4580-BD90-8CFA2E5B1596.jpeg

Hi and welcome to TFP! Thanks for letting us help you build your pool! I love to spend other peoples money LOL

So why do you want bubblers? Really think that part through before you move forward.

They are a neat party trick but most of the time after they get turned on for the "oh that is neat" reaction they get turned off and left off. The noise and splashing gets old fast for some.

I would think about putting a small corner step by the sun ledge in to aid in getting out of the pool there.

What are your depths?

1 bubbler makes sense if you are doing 2 loungers, I agree 2 bubblers with 2 loungers would look weird and 3 might be overkill for that size shelf. I like a bubbler on my ledge just to keep the water moving so debris doesn't pile up there. I have a manual valve on it and turn it down quite a bit so at my normal lower pump speeds noise isn't an issue.

I have two bubblers on my ledge but my ledge is 16 x 7 with a little extra on the one side. We have two bubblers. They have their own shutoff valve where I can blend it between the bubblers and the returns. My bubblers only run when the pump runs, we don’t have a secondary pump. I like the sound, it’s pretty mild at most rpm’s. Definitely helps keep the water moving on the ledge helping to keep the water up there cooler and cleaner.

Thank you SO MUCH for the advice and replies!! Water Depth is 6” on the ledge. After talking with the BYOP consultant and friends, we’ve opted to do 3 bubblers, assuming we’ll leave them turned down most of the time, so they’re running but not high and splashing. Mail goal is water movement/circulation and I like the noise when they’re low. Consultant thought 1 bubbler is sad, 2 makes no sense because of 2 loungers. Went with 3: 1 right in the middle, 2 about 1 ft from each wall.

Any advice on how the heck you chose the right mini pebble plaster color?! Probably my biggest point of anxiety! :). Would love to have turquoise water, PB said that’s an illusion, only happens on overcast days and would need more gray in the plaster to achieve that. 2nd choice is light blue water, definitely do not want medium or dark blue, we really prefer light blue and turquoise water. Considering StoneScapes: French gray, mini white or Astuto. Can’t find pics of Astuto outside of the manufacturers, I believe it’s newer. Curious if anyone has used that color? Any advice is greatly appreciated!!

We have 2 bubblers and 2 returns on our ledge. I can't tell the difference between the 2 when it comes to water height and noise - when rpm is high. The bubblers are led, which I like, but you may want to consider returns as a cheaper option.

we have two bubblers (our ledge is smaller than your planned one) and can turn each individually up to 4' high or just an inch or two. We keep them on all the time to keep the area stirred up. The grandkids love them to play in. We like the sound as we sit on the screened porch.
