I agree. It will be interesting to see what salt levels I get from the unexpired tests ordered from TFP. Order has been placed, so hopefully they will come soon. I will update with that information. The softener should add no salt. My reagents exp in 2021, but still provide expected results. Your result seems unreasonably high so I would wait.![]()
That is a good point. I cannot know how these were stored, but the kit was new so there’s that. If my new results are in line with pool math once I get my unexpired salt test kit, that would be a testament to the calculations in poolmath. If not, well, at least my test can be relied on!While I wouldn't dose from it, if the bottles have been capped and stored in a climate controlled environment, silver nitrate should be good for ages. It's probably right, or close.
Ain't that some 'stuff' if you had a salt pool all along. Your poor patio must be RUINED.![]()
It's inside for the IC models. If you look down the front of it, it's like the dangly thingie in the backs of our mouths. Is that switch inside the salt cell?
I did RO at the end of December 2021 and starting taking care of my pool immediately after. No, I did not receive a salt measurement after. I was told the total dissolved solids were down to whatever number is low. I do not recall exactly and do not have anything in writing. Immediately following RO I did a full set of tests, but did not do a salt test because I didn’t see a need at the time as I was going to use only liquid chlorine.IIRC, you did RO last year. Did you get a salt level from the company after the RO?
Yes. That was exactly what he did. And then he showed me how to set that dinosaur clock. Were they able to connect it to that existing dial timer?
