Leave SWG plugged in? Not sure

Also why would leaving it all connected be thea a wrong thing to do? Will it damage the cell? I kinda figured it would be fine since the cell is just showing the cold water light.
There's no harm whatsoever from the water. The only (small) risk is a power surge from the house direction if its connected. With the timer switched to off, or the breaker flipped, it is effectively disconnected and can be left connected to the power center.

Thanks for the information. In this case, I’ll just turn the power off from the timer and leave the SWG plugged in so I don’t have to think about how to protect the pins.

Sorry another question- regarding the yellow timer clock, should I go ahead and just leave it pulled out so that it’s not keeping time? I’m asking about it because when I pull it out it is off because that is what I would do to set the timer to the appropriate time. But I guess if I’m going to have it turned to the off position with the lever, I might as well go ahead and just leave it pulled out. Or should I let it keep going?

Remove the cogs and set the manual switch to off.
Let it keep time. If you pull the dial out, it may slip half way back in and jam the gears - which will eventually probably burn out the timer motor.
