Leak at top of filter

Basically, we had a really bad hail storm a couple weeks ago (they were tennis ball sized). I had to replace my pressure gauge, so I had the filter off for about two weeks. When I turned it back on, it began leaking around the top whenever I turn it on. It's not so bad when I backwashed it, but as soon as I turn it to filter it starts spewing out of the top. I'm really hoping it's an easy fix, but I don't see any cracks in the plastic or the clamp.

I know it's a Reliant sand filter, but I don't know the model or anything. The sticker on the front was gone when we moved in.

That's a bad leak...like missing the o-ring bad. Is there an o-ring installed under the clear lid?

Remove the top and make sure there is no damage, cracks, etc in the component parts. Lube the O-ring well, re-assemble, and make sure the C-clamps are good and tight.

There is an O-ring. I will take it apart and see how it all looks. What would I lube the O-ring with?
