Just realized I've been maintaining wrong FC level for a year!

About a year ago I switched to SWG...side note -- best decision I ever made!

Before that conversion, I had printed out the Chlorine / CYA chart from this site, laminated it, and kept in my test kit....I just cut out the portion that covers NON SWG pools and used that part ( because I had a non swg pool ).

When i converted, I just kept using the same chart!

Feels so weird knowing that with a CYA of 60 (and I'm going to bring it up to 70), my FC should only be at 4! It's currently sitting at 8, which would have been great for non-swg.....this is going to take some getting used to! 4 just seems so low!

If your SWCG is set to generate 4ppm or less per day, leave it. You will not get much savings by trying to lower the FC target.

If that's the general consensus, maybe it should be changed on the chart?
You don't need to. Some folks like to do the absolute least adding possible (while still being ok), some folks like the insurance.
