Hello all. I'm really hoping someone on here can shed some light on an issue we're having. We started our new fiberglass pool equipment in February of this year. We have a Jandy variable speed pump, jandy cartridge style filter and jandy pro series truclear salt chlorinator. We are currently about to get our 3rd truclear power pack. The first one lasted about a month before the screen began going on and off by itself, switching from standby to waiting to chlorinating and back and forth all on its on. The pool company submitted a warranty claim, installed a new power pack about 6-7 weeks ago and it is now doing the exact same thing. Began with the screen going on and off, buttons not working, and now switching back and forth between standby, waiting, and chlorinating. Has anyone on this site had any similar issues with this salt chlorinator? Thanks in advance.

That stinks, but is pretty typical for the TruClear.
Just FYI AquaPure and FusionSoft are also Jandy products. They have 3 SWG systems - you were sold the worst one. We tend to not recommend TruClear for these reasons...

Jandy truclear buttons not working

None of the buttons on the keypad work. It wont turn off, adjust, ....nothing. I've tried turning it off of 5 minutes, hold the power button and still nothing. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Thank you for the reply. That does indeed stink. I'm not sure what the course of action is going forward if this 3rd power pack begins to do the same thing. Is there another brand or model that is superior and recommended?

Its not so much the brand as it is the budget model of any brand. If they were just as good, nobody would buy the flagship models. The Jandy Aquapure 1400 is the better one. If you have automation you should stick with them for full control. Without automation you are free to shop around and the circupool RJ line is hard to beat.

Thank you for that information. I do not have any automation. The unit has a 3 year warranty so I guess I should just let them keep coming back for free replacements as long as they will. Any benefit to having some kind of cover over the power pack and really all of the equipment to cover from sun and rain. I've attached a picture for reference if anyone has any ideas on how to go about it.
