Thanks everyone for the help and suggestions. My PB was out today and will have Hayward come out to replace the faulty switch.
Builder should have brought a new switch and replaced it.
I agree but he said he doesn't stock them and never had one go out before. I'm very happy with the job they did on our pool so not gonna sweat it too much.

Thanks, can you believe that Hayward warranty was tying to get the PB to come get my cell and have it tested for this issue before replacing the switch? I told them stop wasting everybody's time and just come replace the faulty flow switch. Bunch of morons!
While you go in circles with them, do you have a DVM or access to one from a friend? Just check the resistance between the two pins on the flow switch cable with the pump off. 99% sure it will show a short. Pass that info on to the confused support line.

It has a small RJ11 connector so no way I can get test leads in there. I would have to cut and splice the cable to test I think.
