IS this seal still good?

Bwahaha! I've seen some bad seals but this one takes the cake.
The bad one was literally like gel consistency.
new one on the right of course.

I got a seal kit to fix my leaking pump, good thing too, all 3 were really bad.

no leaks now!

Hey just smear some lube tube on it and it will still work! LOL

It almost looks like it overheated. How is the pump doing? Is it making happy sounds and not over hot?

The one on the left looks ok to me? Well, maybe a little too many steroids LOL!

The pump/motor is running great, no bearing noises. it just leaked quite a bit when running prior to seal replacement..

The motor seal (ceramic one) was pitted badly too.

I saved about $ 100 doing it myself....I used to have the pool store do this.
