Hello! We purchased our home last year, after we opened it this season, I noticed what appears to be more wear spots in the pool. We are pretty sure the pool is original with the house. We had our pool people look at a few smaller ones that were in the shallow end at the end of last season and they confirmed it wasn't black algae, mentioned that its the plaster wearing off. I just want to confirm that is what is really going on, I guess it may be time to get some estimates for a new plaster job.IMG_1549.jpeg

Hm, it's difficult to tell via those pics. My pool needs new plaster in a few years and where it's wearing out it isn't black like your picture shows. Are you able to feel those black marks? where the plaster is wearing off in my pool if you feel the surface you can tell it's flaking.

I will have to go feel them to see if it feels like it’s flaking. I will also try to take a few other photos.
