Is this a good price ..

The contracts, WRT equipment are different.
The quotes/contract, With Respect To equipment are different. One is 400K heater, one is 250K. One is autopilot 30 SWG, one is aquarite 40. One is a gas heater, one has a heat pump and gas heater.

You are comparing apples and oranges. The contracts are lacking specifics on the makes/models of all the equipment. There is also no payment schedule. I'd make sure to hold at least 10% back until the pool is up and operational.

+1. You can't compare a small vehicle with a large vehicle from the same brand. Nor can you compare a Corvette to a Ford Focus. The all have their +/-'s but cost alone doesn't tell the story.

Sorry to be PIA. What are the specifics they need to give. Thought make/model # was enough. Can you have a heat pump and gas heater combo?

I know that some quotes will not align I'd want to possibly go with who is proposing best.

Pool loan lender origination fees can be from 0% to 10%. They play that off against the rate. All depends on the lender.

Some here have found luck with Lyon financial, United States Senate Federal Credit Union, Lendkey, and lightstream.

I would also talk to some local credit unions...might find some good rates.

A HELOC would likely be lower cost, if you have equity in the house.

Best you can do is some comparison shopping...

I don't see model numbers on everything, just on some things.

A gas heater in tandem with a heat pump can be a great way to heat a pool and keep it there but it is not cheap in either equipment cost or utility costs.

I took a bath on my HELOC as insurance for college loans and it cost me $2500 in interest plus origin fees to not need it. Can't win em all. :ROFLMAO:

For the pool we used lightstream both times. It was fair for the market rates and wasn't tied to the mortgage as an unsecured loan.

That's as subjective as anything else. 🤷‍♂️

I wanted a swimming pool and 6ft was too shallow. If i wanted a volleyball pool, it woulda been too deep.

What's a good deep end depth for in ground pool. I'm being quoted 6' and i think that is not deep enough.
The max depth depends on the depth of your wallet. There’s some 60m deep pools out there for scuba diving. 😂

If you just want normal diving, consider 8-9ft

i don't think they doing tandem heater. quote includes heat pump and if he wants to do natural gas heater it will be $1500 less or no heater it will be 39990. i have gotten a quote from them as well and it was listed same way. usually on long island natural gas heaters are cheaper but install is not included.

Yes your right. Do you know Dunrite to be reputable?

Yes, Dunrite and Dakota had decent reviews when I was getting quotes. Most Long Island builders will provide a simple, one-page quote, so it's important to ask questions and request model numbers for any equipment. I chose my builder because he provided exactly what I wanted, the way I wanted it. There’s no such thing as a perfect builder—do your due diligence and go with the one who makes you feel comfortable and offers everything you need at a reasonable price.

Yes understood but I'm looking to do this ASAP so I can get the permits done and have it done by June. Anything you would recommend that you didn't see on my quote or specific model number or anything in general? Thank you!.. sorry for typoses and voice texting

Stake it out waist high with rope or string and 'hop in'. The 3rd dimension gives a much better feel for it than painting the grass.

Dunrite doesn't specify a 2x6 bench or a 16' stadium. Regarding equipment, as others have mentioned, consider requesting a better pump, such as the Hayward TriStar or a similar model. For the filter, bigger is always better—I personally prefer the Hayward 4030. AutoPilot is a solid choice for a saltwater generator (SWG), but I opted for all Hayward equipment because I wanted full automation. It seems like both options will be priced similarly, so ask them which LED lights they plan to install. My builder is one of the largest Hayward dealers on Long Island, so he exclusively offered Hayward equipment, which aligned with what I wanted.
