Iqaualink upgrade rs6 or rs8?

The Assign JVA setup page behaves differently in a pool (or spa) only system compared to the pool / spa combo unit that you received in the upgrade package.

With the pool (or spa) only system the four JVA sockets can be assigned to any of the free Aux buttons. With the combo unit two of the JVA sockets are assigned to the intake and return valves. The other two JVA sockets (cleaner and solar) can be reassigned to any free Aux button.

What are your JVA valves controlling, and do you need three of them assigned to Aux buttons?

On the combo units the intake, and return JVA sockets are controlled via the pool, spa, and spillover settings. The valve select button on the far right of the RS main board will toggle the valves through the four combinations of the valve positions.

You may be able to use the built in pool / spa modes depending on what you are trying to control with the JVA valves. For example pool mode could be both features controlled by the JVA’s to be off, and Spa mode would turn them both on, and the spa Spillover would be one feature on, the other off. Spa drain would be the last combo of the JVA settings.

Actuators are not controlled by the aux circuits unless you associate an aux with a valve. Auxiliary circuits are relays

hello, Yes I saw that it has dedicated intake and return. and only 2 aux. should I return this one and get a dedicated pool on version? I connected 2 jva's to the the others (cleaner and solar). I have a water feature that I need to control(on/off) any ideas how to get that to work? can I reassign the intake or return?

Both the intake and return valves change when you switch from pool to spa modes. If you connected your water feature to either of the intake, or return ports then you can turn your water feature on and off by choosing pool mode, or spa mode. It won’t be named correctly but it would work.

Unfortunately I don’t think there’s a Pool only version of the iq30-RS upgrade kit.
