Like many others I converted my Intex pool to PVC to allow the connection of industry standard equipment. With that presented some interesting problems as with soft sided pools (more so with the rectangular ones) hanging PVC off it places unnecessary pressure on the vinyl. I have seen various methods to help support the PVC to help reduce the ensuing fatigue but was not thrilled with any of them (just personal preference) I knew what I wanted and was coming to the conclusion that I was just going to have to make one out of PVC. Well in my search for a clamping mechanism I found this and ordered (2). Esthetically nicer than the one I would build and probably cheaper overall. Thoughts?

Not to be a stick in the mud, but how do you feel about movement when the pool is being used ? I agree with the support when idle, but worry that the support may not allow the needed flex when the boat is rocking.

What about an over the rail support to 'hang' the pvc ? It would need to be padded so it didn't wear the liner, but would allow some flex.
