I have an intex salt system filter- I don’t run it as salt-just chlorine. When the “low salt” indication lights up and beeps- does it still filter my water? This pool was given to me and was purchased in 2017 I believe and was used as salt water for the first couple years….
The LED panel is no longer lighting up- how do I change the filter programming?

Yes. Regardless of if you use the salt generator portion or not, water will still flow through the filter.

I'm not 100% sure of your question. Our pool filters themselves aren't programmed. The LED panel should simply turn on/off the pump and perhaps control the salt generator portion. As long as the pump is on and water flowing, it's going through the filter so you can treat your pool as a non-salt pool and chlorinate with liquid chlorine.

You can just leave the Intex SWG unplugged or completely remove it from the equation as water will flow through it unrestricted. The SWG has nothing to do with the filtration.
As I am unfamiliar with the Intex number you provide, is this the unit you have?

If so, I attached the owner's manual for you :)
