Intellitouch Dual System spa pump only activates when pool pump is on.

I have a Pentair intellitouch the i10D dual system board. I have 2 VSF pumps one for the spa and one for the pool. When I press the spa icon the heater starts but not the pump. When I press the pump icon the pool pump starts and the spa pump starts. for some reason they are link together. How do I program both pumps to work independently?

Is this a new set up???

If so, the two pumps have to have different RS-485 addresses. You set the address at the pump's control panel. The default is #1, you need to set the other pump to address #2.

Note that this has nothing to do with the Pump #1 and Pump #2 that you see when looking at the IntelliTouch menu...
