My pump has stopped working. There is power to it but it will only work on low speed, when putting on high speed it doesn't work.
I currently have the Pentair 340043 SF N2 1 1/2A HP 230V
I looked online and it seems its discontinued. I found it online at 1 place for about $980
Pentair says replacement is PENTAIR INTELLIFLO3 about $1,300.

Should I purchase same I have or move the Intelliflo3?

Thanks.

A,

Do you run low speed most of the time? If so, moving to a VS pump will save you a little on your electrical bill, but not a lot, if you never use high speed.

I love large VS pumps as you can run them on low 24/7. This means you can make a little chlorine all the time, and skim all the time. I do this for less than $20 bucks a month.

Thanks,

Jim R.

The part number you indicate for your existing pump is a Superflo 2 speed. Not an Intelliflo 2

I suspect a Superflo VS would require little to no plumbing modifications. Would need to be sure to get the comm cable to connect to your Easytouch.
