Hi all. My salt cell “low salt” light is solid red on my Pentair IntelliChlor 60. Salt level is 3350. Flow light is green. Diagnostic test shows 40 percent on cell life used. The cell itself is clean without buildup. Now what?

Ok so I should cut the two wires as described, if the low salt light doesn’t stay red, this is a quick fix until I replace the flow sensor switch or whatever it’s called? Am I understanding that correctly?

Correct. Be sure you have the four wire switch.
It will then assume a water temperature of 77F for salinity calculations.

Is your CELL ligiht green?

You can also bypass the flow switch temperature sensor and install a separate temperature probe.

My cell light is solid green during diagnostics. Because the low salt level is a solid red, the cell light isn’t on indicating it isn’t producing chlorine. That’s my understanding.

Got flow cover off. Uncoiled black covered wires I assume it to be. Red light for low salt went off and turned to “good”. Have no idea what that’s about but appears to have solved something 🤣. This has been an issue for a week.

Salt level when I test it is 3300. From my pentair easy touch screen, it says it’s 2550 which I know to not reply on. So I looked to see if the cell needed to be cleaned, it didn’t. The temp from the easy touch screen is saying it’s 78. From diagnostics on the cell, the 40 percent light flashes and the cold water light flashes red but doesn’t stay on, it goes off after diagnostic is run.

Loose connection somewhere.

I’m assuming my salt at 3300 because the color it turns for it to be 3200 is a tad too light. One extra drop and it’s too dark. So when this occurs, I assume in between. That’s just me though.

Next question I have is, my spa does run over into my pool. Not a hard overflow. From all sides, it’s a slow steady spill over. I test my pool water only and assume it’s the same for the spa. Besides, how would I treat just the spa if it flows together right? At least it’s set up where both are together if the filter is on.

I’ve noticed some build up on the spa floor. Is that a water chemistry thing? Or maybe I’m not brushing it good enough regularly? Let me attach a picture.

Some peoples spill over is a large splash from one side. Mine isn’t. It’s a slow and steady run over that doesn’t splash exactly. See the white build up on the floor? Recently I worked hard to scrub it and it looks a lot better. Still, is this a chemistry issue? My pool water is balanced without issue. Maybe I haven’t brushed it as well and over time it occurred. I admit that could be it because by the time I get to the spa, I do have tired arms. I do use a robot and toss it in there at times. I also brush by hand because I don’t use the robot weekly in there.
