Intellichlor IC40 Cell Light Flashing

The cell light on my Intellichlor IC40 began flashing the other day, so did the acid cleaning procedure. This did not stop the light from flashing, so I then did the diagnostic test by holding the "more" button. The test doesn't give any of the fault lights, says that the cell life is 40% consumed and the temp is 80 degrees. The salt level light is solid green, indicating it's good. Any ideas why the cell light is still flashing?

B,

If the cell light is flashing and the cell is clean, then the cell is dead.. It does not matter at all what the diagnostics say..

I have three saltwater pools and have been through 3 cells.. They all have the exact same failure mode.. Cell light flashing with the cell clean.

Adding salt will sometimes make the cell work for a few more days or weeks, but in the end, the cell cell is on its last legs.

Most cells last 5 to 7 years.

Sorry for your loss,

Jim R.

That's what I'm afraid of. It's just 4 years old. I did add some salt, but no luck. Thanks for your reply!
