Intellicenter / Pentair Pool App Help

I think it may be pulsing.
I don’t think the Inital Setup to the app was done for your pump.

Read the Pump app manual I linked to.

Page 2 tells you to setup an account which I think you already have for the IntelliCenter.

Put the IntelliCenter in SERVICE mode to release the pump control.

Then follow page 3 Pairing the pump to your app.

Or you can tell your builder setup guy to get it done.

The top of the pool doesn't seem to skim at all. I dropped a leaf in front of the skimmer box and it just moved past. The suction is very very low.
The way you do that is you create a feature circuit named PUMP 2400. Set it to display on Home Screen.

Then you go to the pump settings and set 2400 RPM to the PUMP 2400 circuit.

Now you will have a button on the IntelliCenter and when you turn it on the pump will run at 2400 rpm. You can also schedule a skimming time or a few hours every day when that circuit will run and skim the pool.

You probably don’t need max RPM for good skimming. Try 2400. It works on my pool. Then adjust it to find what works on your pool.

You can create multiple Feature Circuits for different speeds you want to run your pool.

Is your heater circuit set to a RPM that gives at least 50 GPM? Minimum flow for your MasterTemp is 40 GPM. Running the heater with too low flow can damage the heater.

Thank you!! This worked!

Here are photos of all the equipment as the pool startup left everything. I vaguely remember the pump filter pressure being higher last week, but not sure.

Thank you. I am reading and trying to understand this.

Now CONNECT and ON/STOP are green. The QUICK CLEAN is not lit up.
I think CONNECT should be magenta/pink when the IntelliCenter is controlling the pump.

Keep that in mind if the pump is not responding to the IntelliCenter. I think you may have other setup issues.

Low filter pressure is not a problem. Filter pressure is proportional to RPM. At low RPM filter pressure will be low, at high RPM filter pressure will be higher.

You need to note clean filter pressures at various RPMs. When filter pressure gets more that 25% over clean pressure it is time to clean the filter.

How can I test this on the app?

How would I test this to see if the automation is working? Can I do a test setting on the app somewhere?

Can you guys pls tell me what settings
schedule you recommend I set the pool on?
I run my filter pump at 1400 RPM 24/7.

I have a cleaner schedule that runs 7am-9am at 2400 rpm that runs my pool cleaner and skims the pool.

I have other stuff for my spa but you do not have a spa.

How can I test this on the app?

I am handicapped because my pool is still closed for the winter. So I am doing some of this from memory of 6 months ago.

And I rarely used the phone app. I have a wired panel in my house and I use the IntelliCenter2.com web site rather then the app.

Go to your PC/MAC browser and go to www. intellicenter2 .com and login. You will find a much better UI to control the IntelliCenter and do programming changes.

Best way is setup that Feature Circuit I described and see if the pump speed changes.
