I have an infinity edge pool. I need to redo the back side where the water falls over, tiles coming off. I ran across this pool that appears to have no tiles. How are they finishing the wall on the open edge where the water falls off? Is this durable or do you have to have tile?

Concrete is not waterproof. While that side is grey it is not bare concrete. It has waterproof coatings on it and a grey waterproof membrane.
Is this type of coating roller applied? Any specific brands or examples you might recommend? If a waterproof coating is applied, is it then ok to put on the back of an infinity pool trough without tile?
