In-ground Hot Tub repair - disable 2 of 6 jets?

Hello,

My in-ground hot tub has a leak in two of the six jets. I have a guy dig up the area and I now have the option to have the two jets either repaired (it'll be difficult and costly...might have to repair from the inside so there will be plaster work) or just by-pass the 2 problem jets and have 4 jets working (cheaper). I'm concerned about the pump and pressure if we disable two jets. Will it hurt the pump or the rest of the pipes if I disable 2 out of the 6 jets? My pump is a single-speed pump (I don't know the horsepower). Please advise. Thank you.

Welcome to the forum.

Plugging off the two jets will not harm the pump. It will increase the pressure of the system but that should not be an issue.
