I'm worried.

How concerned should I be? Gap where tile and concrete meet in one corner of the pool. And the crack is in the same area.

I for one can't stand our clay soil with all the expansion and contracting, but I'm not so sure that's the culprit. Have you contacted your builder yet? @bdavis466 what would you recommend?

It certainly looks like you have some movement going on. Is that back wall CMU block? Where is that in relation to the pool?

The gap above the tile is somewhat normal. It looks like it was grouted when a flexible sealant would have been a better choice.

That tile to coping joint always breaks away on almost every pool. Better caulked than grouted.
Hard to say on that backside. Is that parged or a solid piece or ?

Our pool is partially above ground due to the slope in our yard and there is a parge coating on that back wall. I feel like it's the pool shell and the concrete decking separating. Here's another view and a coupled of build photos.
I've contacted the builder and he's going to come check it out. He's good at BS though. Our pool school water testing was literally him scooping up some water from the pool, smelling it and saying "oh yeah, your good, just go buy some Clorox test strips and keep everything low". I already had my TF-100 and TFP at that point so I would have tuned that part out anyway, but still.
I have infinitely more trust in this group than with the builder.

I doubt that's a structural crack. It looks like whatever they coated the wall with is delaminating.

Stick a piece of wire or something similar in the crack and see how far it goes in

@bdavis466 - Stuck this little wire in a couple of spots, and this was the deepest.

It went 2" into the wall? If that's the case then you have a big issue on hand

Dangit. I remember your build thread, it was almost the same time as mine. I'm sorry you are having issues and it looks like the right people are on the job to help you out.

I did want to point out your quote from the PB so that it didnt get overlooked. I've never heard of the scoop and smell testing technique. That is for sure TFP wall of fame material there:
