I was trying to lower my Cl level in order to get rid of some iron stains. I disabled the Intellechlor and also set chlorine level to zero on the Easy Touch. Kept waiting for the chlorine level to drop (it was pretty high at 10). the level just didn't drop after many days. It's winter but here in north Florida we still get some decent sun, so it should have been dropping. After a few weeks I reviewed my system in more detail. The Easy Touch was still set like I said, but I noticed the the "cell" LED on the SWG itself came on periodically. Didn't think much about that at the time. Then I noticed that the LEDs on the SWG that indicate "demand" based on pump run time (20, 40, 60, 80...%) showed the lowest one still lit (think that means it is at 20%). I pushed those control buttons until there were no lights on the SWG. Now Cl level is lowering as I would expect.

So, has anyone seen where the Easy Touch isn't actually controlling the SWG? I mean, everything on the Easy Touch appears to be communicating to the SWG cell, but evidently it wasn't telling it to shut off chlorine production.

If you disable the IntelliChlor on the EasyTouch it will stop controlling the Intellichlor.

You need to set the % to 0 on the EasyTouch WITHOUT disabling it to shut the cell off.

Aha, thx...so, if I had first set it to zero on the easy touch and then disabled it on the easy touch it would have been fine I guess. No real need to disable if i set to zero I guess.
