I recently upgraded my salt generator from a IC15 to an IC60. I have a fiberglass pool, 25k gallon. (IC15 was the original cell issued by the pool company). Thankfully the IC15 finally died and I was able to upgrade. However, now I’m having trouble finding the right setting for my IC60. I started at 6% (3 lights), but quickly saw an abundance of a white soft residue, sometimes solid and flaky, and sometimes being shot back out into the pool from the returns, settling at the bottom of my pool. I changed the cell setting to 4% and not so much white stuff.
I have a 25k gallon fiberglass pool with a IC60. I run my pump from 7am to 10pm..high setting from 12 noon to 4pm.
What would be the optimal cell setting for my pool? And what’s all the white stuff? Looks like sand/ salt.
