Hello,
I am having this exact issue with our newly installed aqualink system. Whenever we use the heater or chiller mode it turns the pump off when it’s reached the desired temp even though we have the pump set to run 24/7. Our schedule just has VSP cut itself down to lowest rpm throughout the night before cutting back up during the hottest part of the day. We’re located in SW Florida. Has anyone figured out how to correct this? I’m at my wits end trying to figure it out. Please help!!

Hello All,
I have been dealing with my aqualink problem for awhile now and can’t figure it out. I’m starting to wonder if we made a horrible mistake upgrading to it. Every time we use the chiller/heater it will turn the pump off with the heater/chiller when it reaches the set temp. Our schedule runs the pump 24/7 and just cuts down to the low RPM during the evening and throughout the night. It cuts back up during the hottest part of the day. We mainly use chiller to cool water down and it’s so freaking annoying that the pump keeps turning off. I have it set to maintain temp which should allow for the chiller to cut on and off as needed without disabling the pump. Anyone figured out how to rectify this issue?

I added the schedule for temp 1 yesterday after reading a post that suggested it. I have heater/chiller set to maintain temp. Pool contractor did not explain any of this with us after our remodel. Gave me a login and that’s it. This system is so confusing.

Put the first thing in your schedule "Filter Pump".

FYI why are you adding the temp at all to your schedule? Just turn it on and let the thermostat do it's thing.
It was a suggestion in a thread I read yesterday. I can remove it but the pump will shut off when it gets to the desired temp.

If you want your pool pump to run all the time, set it as I have with a starting time of "X" time and stopping of "X-5" time. Have that occur while nothing else is activating. Have 5 minutes between stop and restart so it has time to prime and reset. Then adjust your pool speed for higher if you want during the day. You are setting overlap times that call for the pump.

Set up your schedule like you see mine.

Also post a pic of your VSP setup speeds.

Attached as requested. I’m beginning to think we were not set up correctly which is my problem. I had no way to know what is was supposed to be and just left it as it was.

OK - Go in your speed setup and change the name of #1 back to "Pool". You should not change keywords or the assignment of the # they are attached to. Also change your stop time to 12:55AM.

Speed1 = Filter Pump. I also suggest you change the speed on #1 to some nominal speed since this is what will be running all the time. I suggest maybe 1500? Higher speed is only needed for your cleaner (if not a robot) and the heater. The heater will bump the speed on it's own.

What heater do you have? If it is gas, change both Temp1 and Temp2 speeds to 3000. If heat pump what you have is ok.

Note below how much it costs to run your pump at various speeds.

Sorry for the delay, what is the difference with setting stop time to 12:55 rather than 12:59? I’ve changed speed 1 on speed settings.
