Hello,
I had an Aqualink PDA system installed by the builder in 2017. The screen on the PDA over the last few years got darker and darker and is/was almost un-readable unless in direct sunlight. I ordered and installed the iAqualink 3.0 upgrade kit (from Marina pools and Spa) today. Installation was pretty easy, connecting via the app not so much. I received a "Connection Error. Unable to Add IQ20 Device. Please try again later". After several attempts and much "technical language" I turned to TFP and through searches on the forum I found a thead where the resolution was contacting Fluidra tech service. I registered the device online, without resolving the issue, so I contacted Fliudra and after a lenghty hold time, the issue was resolved in a few minutes.

I have most everything programmed and scheduled like it was in the previous Aqualink PDA system, however I cannot figure out how to control, activate, or schedule the one Jandy Valve Actuator (JVA) that I have. The JVA is installed to divert water to a waterfall. It was previously scheduled to come on a couple times a week, and when it did the VSP would increase to accommodate the waterfall. Alternately, I could just select "waterfall" on the PDA.

The builder had the 3 pin connector from the JVA on the "Cleaner" connector on the board and I am not sure how to set up the iAqualink to control this valve. Any advise or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Go to the Assign JVA screen and assign CLEANER to an unused AUX. Then you can assign a VSP Speed to the AUX and schedule it.

Show a picture of this screen. This is Assign JVA. It appears you do not have a pool and spa - just pool Please confirm

Is your JVA plugged into the CLEANER socket?
Which AUX is it assigned to? If none then pick one that is not being used.
Then the pump can be assigned to activate with that AUX.
Lets stop there and see your response.

Thanks for the prompt reply, and I hate being slow on the uptake, but how do I access the menu to assign JVAs? I do not see that option.

Correct, I just have a pool.
The JVA is plugged in to the cleaner socket (between return and solar)
It is not assigned to an aux that I am aware of.

So this is stating that Intake and Return JVA sockets are used. But you said you only had 1 JVA.
Can you trace the wire from your JVA to one of the sockets. There are 4 grouped together on the PCB.
See photo below. Starting from the left side there are 8 sockets. Those are the AUX that go to the relays below it.
Then there are 4 sockets - these are the JVA relays. They are marked INTAKE, RETURN, CLEANER, SOLAR. The first 2 are used in a pool/spa combo system, the other 2 are free to use with any JVA.
Need to know which socket your JVA is plugged into

The only item plugged into the JVA relays (right hand side) is the single JVA that I have and it is on the CLEANER spot. With nothing plugged in the INTAKE or RETURN I assume that these can or should be set to "No Assignment"? Attached is a pic of the original board before replacing with the upgrade kit and everything is plugged in the same.

With y'alls assistance yesterday, I have the CLEANER now assigned to Aux3 and have renamed it to "Waterfall" and believe that I have it scheduled and programmed appropriately.

Next steps will be replacing the 2 non-working Jandy lights, then possible purchasing and installing 1 additional JVA for a bubbler that is currently a manual valve. Thanks for the assist and the followup!

Ok, Thanks for clarification. So did you get the existing JVA assigned and working?
Keep us posted.

I believe you got a Pool & Spa upgrade board instead of a Pool OR Spa board which is why two valves are hard coded as INTAKE & RETURN.

Yes, the JVA is assigned and working. The Cleaner is assigned to AUX3 and the JVA is plugged in to that port. I am able to control the pool (pump, VSP, lights, Aquapure and JVA) from the app or from the panel/board when in service mode.
Thanks again!
