I finally get to post a thread here!! Renovating pool and yard

Took about 9.5 hours to fill up yesterday, came out this morning to fire up equipment to discover when they redid the pad the plumbers hooked up my pump wiring wrong so I fixed that this morning & got everything going... water is currently 82 as of 7am.. we netted out as much as possible & I brushed too here is what it looks like nowD26C9B96-3394-4D85-911D-242223C02F4A.jpegC40E57F2-817A-4E80-BC36-23A3CD8B19FB.jpegB87BB2AA-09BF-4598-B8EA-B5A3B4F437F4.jpeg

So you gonna jump in today? Been raining and raining ... and raining here since end of April, but looks like it's letting up for a bit. Real unusual for this much rain, but not complaining 'cause could help against super high temps later. Anyhow, water temp here was 80° a couple of days ago. Maybe we'll jump together? :drown:

Lol we would love 80 lol was 106 yesterday 😂😂😂 you bet we are going in later it's been a long wait for it our water temp will probably hit 90+ by late afternoon

80° is a little cool for us, but I think tolerable. With the wind and shade here, we're lucky to get to 86° even after string of 100°+ days. Shall we start with the butterfly or breaststoke for our TFP-style of synchronized swimming? :LOL: Our long wait is about 6 years...

With my family they will all be jumping in as I slowly walk down the stairs to get on my hammock float (best floatie EVER)

WOW - that came out really nice.

I believe OnBalance may have recommended to keep the CSI slightly positive for the curing period. And no salt for at least 30 days. Hopefully someone can confirm keeping the CSI positive during curing and provide a link to that thread - my Google-foo is a bit off this morning.

Good cuz that is what it is right now, I've added nothing yet but will run some tests after while to just ease my brain & thanks! You saw it in person so you can imagine how giddy I am with it

Just did my first tests with it full and running my guess is to drop PH?? Im in completely new territory with fresh plaster and I don't wanna screw up so help please 😂😂

Let the pH games begin! Yeah go ahead and drop the pH to 7.5. Make sure to pour the acid in slowly right in front of a turn then brush that area a few extra stokes.

Know that each time you lower the pH you also lower the TA so be ready to push it up as needed but for right now it could stand to go a bit lower.

Hubby added the acid, hes my acid doser since he can't smell 😂😂

Just make sure he wears glasses or googles to protect his eyes. It is almost more dangerous for him since it is the smell that alerts you to the fumes blowing into your face. Tell him to make sure to dip his hands and arms into the pool to get any off his skin just in case as well.
