I finally get to post a thread here!! Renovating pool and yard

OH HAPPY DAY!!!! That is looking great already!!! It will only get better!

Okay so I have to say it even though I know you know but..................run out there and put socks on the ends of your hoses to keep the metal off that pretty plaster. Make sure the hose is placed at the lowest part of the pool. Most of the time that is by the main drains. Do NOT stop the flow of water for any reason!!!! Doing so could cause a ring in the new plaster. Right before they turn on the water to start filling take a pic of your water meter so you can get a rough idea of how many gallons it is.

In prep, I took my completely faded umbrellas that were red & spray painted themView attachment 340579
I'm a couple days late in responding to this post but am amazed! I would not have thought to do that. They turned out great too! You just literally saved hundreds

How long after filling is the water usually balanced/safe for swimming? My pool is getting plastered on June 16th and I'm hoping to be swimming by the 20th

I think that depends on the company, mine is letting me completely loose to balance & take care of it myself

Some PB have as part of their directions:
-When the water gets to the middle of the skimmer opening JUMP IN THE POOL AND ENJOY! LOL

It is up to your PB. Think about this............you take baths in the same water so........................

Now saying that I would NOT let a dog in due to their nails. The plaster may still be a bit soft so their nails may indent or scratch it. I also would not allow any shoes or such in the pools for the same reason.

Hi Henry!! Love it!!

Do not drag the green hose. Just leave it be and it should be okay. Once you get most of the water in then use some like a rake and slide it under as much of the hose as you can to pick it up and out.
It started just floating around so I left it alone lol 3Rd hose is prepped and ready and will turn that on when water hits turtle head

Girl that is some of the best fill water I have ever seen!!!! Nothing for you to do except follow the new plaster start up directions for your kine of plaster. We have a general one but I would find the start up for your kind of plaster and follow it. If you can't find it let me know and I will post up the general one.

I know.....................wanna do something, anything to that preatty new pool! Resist that urge. Look at the first link. It talks about CYA at 72 hours.

This like is more "official" and detailed as it is from the National Plaster Council :

Note there is a pfd file you can and should download and print out that has the startup step by step.

You can and should brush your pool as soon as the pump is turned on.
