I have a white fiberglass pool. I’m always fighting iron stains. It comes from my water, the red clay that gets dragged in, and who knows where else. And now apparently from my salt!!!!! I did an ascorbic acid treatment recently. Lifted the stains beautifully. My salt was low so I added a bag and my pool is so incredibly stained now. From the salt. All of my hard work over the last few weeks of carefully re balancing my pool and getting it looking nice was just lost. I could cry. AA treatments are time consuming and expensive!!! Where can I get salt that isn’t contaminated?????? 😭

What brand salt did you use? Clorox brand is known to stain on occasion.

I use plain water softener salt.

I use Diamond crystals or mortons softener or pool salt.
The clorox one has been known to have impurities as they use recycled fracking water to process their salt.
Here’s an informative post about it 👇
