Here's the default schedule starting on page 5. The next few pages show how to customize to your needs.








Digital inputs can be any signal that is 12-24 vac or dc. So if for example you set "STEP 1" speed to run at 1700 rpm 24 hrs you can engage "STEP 2" speed to run at 3000 rpm when the solar valve opens by sending the same signal that closes the solar bypass valve to "STEP 2". The motor will revert to the internal schedule (clock) any time there is no digital input.

You can control the pump on the same schedule you currently run and you can continue to run the swg as you are doing with the separate timer. Doing so you can set 2 speeds of your choice instead of the "build in" speeds you currently have or you can schedule different speeds. You may also achieve additional operating cost because the motor is a permanent magnet motor which is about 4% lower operating cost at any speed compared to your standard induction motor.

Thanks again Chris for the follow-up. As an update I came across a good deal/delivery date on my existing motor so I went ahead and purchased that one.
I only run the motor during off-peak hours, so I figured with the 2 speeds my energy costs are low enough.
I also purchased a new impeller, diffuser and ring, diffuser and housing gaskets, salt water seal and water-based seal lube...so I essentially am re-building the pump also.

Just wanted to add that another reason for not going with the V-Green 165 was that I likely would not utilize the digital inputs function; therefore I would not be able to know the time on its internal clock. That could cause an out-of-sync condition between my SWG's timer and the motor/pump. For example, I wasn't clear how the motor's internal clock would behave in the event of a power failure.

If the 1.65HP had the same controller as the 2.7 HP I would have purchased it in a heartbeat.

Not sure but I think you could eliminate this issue by powering the pump from the same timer as the swg if it can handle the load or via relay if needed. But sounds like the replacement 2 speed is a very good option too... maybe better.
