Hi all!

It's been very cold in the NorthEast and I'm still not open! However last weekend, I tried to pump the water out of the cover , but I noticed, after a couple hours, my pool water was also going down! It seems the cover isn't "waterproof" ! No worries as it's been raining so much the level has come back up!

I'm using a Little Giant 505005 pump that I leave in the middle of the cover. Here's a picture of the still closed pool.

Any suggestion on the procedure to remove the water of the cover, and remove it without letting all the dirty water go in the pool?

Thanks!
Guillaume

Use your net and pole to get all the heavy debris off the cover first. You can then set the pump closer to an accessible edge and use the net to press the tarp down and channel water to the pump. Don’t leave the pump on the tarp as your just pumping water that leaks through from underneath. I’ve found it easiest to bring the water level up to maximum before trying to take the tarp off. Don’t get too worried about a little bit getting in as the bleach will kill any booger’s that get it.

Hi, thanks also. After reading about it on different web sites, I realize many people are confused about the usage of a mesh winter cover for those reasons.
I'm waiting for a new filter and will get back to it, trying to remove the cover without letting too much dirt in the pool
